Churchill Labour Councillors Jason Williams and Shamim Talukder have criticised Wandsworth Council for pushing forward its controversial plans for a pedestrian and cycle bridge from Nine Elms to Pimlico.

Wandsworth have identified a number of potential landing points – including Pimlico Gardens and two potential landing points in Churchill Ward.

“We are amazed that Wandsworth are continuing with their plans, despite widespread opposition and the Mayor’s commitment that the bridge can only go ahead with support on both sides of the river,” said Councillor Williams. “We will continue to stand up for our community and continue to fight against this scheme at any landing site in Pimlico.”

Please help us send a clear message to Wandsworth that the bridge is unwanted by signing our petition below.

PETITION: The Nine Elms Bridge is an expensive vanity project. We call upon Wandsworth Council to listen to public opinion and cancel the proposed bridge at any landing point in Westminster.
